Why ask Why?

Amanda, CEO of Beans & Co., asked why I visit the mom blogs....
That is a very good question with a 3 pronged answer (as many things in life are 3 prongs):

1.) In reading your blogs, I hope I am less shocked by the things that will come my way as a mom. I do not think it will make me a smarter mom, hopefully just a little less frightened and a little less alone in the drama.

2.) I enjoy learning about people's lives and the way they do things. Knowing more options in child-rearing, marriage, birthing, etc. than what I was exposed to growing up, will only make my decision process better. Also, I truly love having "blog friends," and knowing your kids is knowing you. Plus, kids pictures make me smile...and we all need that in a work day. I do hope I get to meet some of you one day. There should be a tour of "Freak Alex Out: she babysits, we laugh" Tour. I get to meet you guys, you get free babysitting.

3.) It is just funny.

Alex, Please come babysit, OOPS, I mean visit. We have a great Mexican restauarnt about a mile away.

The Good: we walk to the restaurant.

The Bad: we have margaritas and chips.

The Sweaty: we stumble home.

Let me know when your tour comes to Colorado!

Just found your site through Amanda and Beans. I love that you check out mommy blogs. I did the same thing while pregnant. I was a lurker and never left comments or even had a blog for that matter. It's what inspired me to start a blog. Anyways love the bean bling and glad to have found your blog!

I frequent LOTS of mommy blogs! I am with you on seeing and getting inspiration from other families!! Bloggy inspiration is really hard to explain to others if they don't "get" the whole blog thing but then I read posts like this and I think ....EXACTLY!!!
Oh and you won the book giveaway!! So shoot me an email with your address and I'll get it to ya!

Thanks for coming over to Southern Somedays...I am a GA girl! LOL But spent many years in SC and my 2 oldest children were born there (Florence and Greenville, respectively). My Daddy's family runs deep in the Upstate and we (DH,DD & I) still think of it as home.

We moved back to GA about four years ago from NY (we have also living in Ohio) so I guess you could call us roaming southerners as well!

BTW, I do know Franklin County...when we lived in Clemson I had to take DD to Lavoinia for baton twirling classes (no kidding!) and a dear friend of mine's family hails from Canon/Royston.
