Dump Truck, Backing Up

Okay, I'll admit it. I am in a funk...in a bad mood...down in the dumps.
And for no real reason.

Is it the change in weather? Love the fall, hate trying to find room for my sweaters.

Is it my messy apartment which refuses to clean itself? Oh yeah, that is a mountain of pain.

Is it my daily battle with one of my bosses who is driving me nuts? Sure.

And maybe added all together would account for this funk.
Maybe it is just Ennuis. Or PMS. or a bad hair day.

So to get myself out of the dumps what did I do this morning:
-Prayed that God would give me a happy attitude when dealing with the boss
-Put on a pretty skirt and shiny high heels
-and hope that tonight's girls night will lighten my mood

Other mood altering options:
-Go for a run (if it light outside which only occurs from 9-5)
-Get a hair cut...it always makes me feel good.

Do you have any suggestions of what brightens your mood?

***Update***
Called my hair dresser, Jennie, for an appointment and they told me she moved to Des Moines!!!! Des MOINES!!!! Now I have to find another hair dresser!?! BLERGH!!!!

Des Moines?! Oh, that's not good AT ALL. Drink a lot of wine tonight and consider growing out your hair. That might help...

Girls' night will definitely help :)

Wow - and your hair dresser moved!?!

Retail therapy is the way... or maybe just Starbucks?!

If your hairdresser moved, why not try out some other spa therapy? A facial, mani/pedi, massage, etc.

I'm feeling a little down too, and looking forward to my massage this afternoon like WHOA.

The pretty skirt and shiny high heels were a great idea though!! I'll be praying for you and your boss too.

Love,
Cita

I promise this is not intended to depress you further but, OH MY GOSH! My hairdresser got out of the business a few years back (after 8+ years of doing my hair --and ME DRIVING TWO HOURS TO MY APPTS!) and I am JUST NOW finding someone I like! I feel for you. I totally feel for you. Hang in there! "The sun'll come up tomorrow!" (Annie) "After all, tomorrow is another day!" (Scarlett)

I prescribe episodes of The Office, Season 1 or 2. Also the movie Father of the Bride 2 with steve martin - it's important that you watch FOTB 2, though, b/c what could lighten a mood more than Steve on sleeping pills with his daughter in labor?! "Please pass the rooollls...."

How was girls night? I love the image of you in a pretty skirt and sassy heels! I rearranged furniture last weekend to give me a fresh perspective... I love walking into my "new" office. I've already warned J that we're moving more stuff this weekend.

I also just finished the book "Calm My Anxious Heart" by Linda Dillow. Amazing.

Love you and miss you!!

Oh, no, she moved...that definitely doesn't help get you out of the dumps.

I say pretty yourself up and go out with those girls..that should do it. And, a mani/pedi always helps.
