I am so proud of you. Can you give me some of your motivation? I lost 2.6 last week but I am afraid I gained most of it back this weekend. We have a weekend trip that I know I will gain on, too! UGH!
Honestly, I think you've got to enjoy yourself when you're in the South. When I went to PerĂº and Colombia this summer I didn't even think about dieting because you just don't get that kind of food stateside. So I was careful, didn't overindulge, and exercised more.
Like you, I didn't gain a pound... nor did I lose a pound. But it's not worth stressing about. In the long run, it's the life changes you're making that really count - you're exercising more, making good choices when you can.
Like my trainer always tells me, the first three letters of diet are DIE. Diets don't work; lifestyle changes do. You've made lifestyle changes and lost 20 pounds. Awesome! So you didn't lose weight while on vacation. Big flippin' deal. You look hot. What's more, you're living a much healthier lifestyle. GO ALEX!!!
It is me, my husband, and our baby daughter traveling around the world.

I'm a new mom following my husband on his crazy adventures. I love the South and never wanted to leave. These are my tales about my adventures of trying to fit into the world with no Chick-fil-a.
The Hubs, Kdubs
He is a recently minted lawyer and dad (within about 10 days of each other). He is a self-acknowledged work-a-holic with stir crazy tendencies. (This is why we are nomadic, people!) He is quiet and shy with everyone but me. I can't seem to get him to shut up!
The baby, Cdubs
Born 11-28-09
Penny, The pups
She is spending the time with the grandparents while we are in Austria. I miss her funny face like crazy!
